EZ’s Patrick Jackson has done it again. His short drama “Daybreak” will screen at the Arrivano i Corti International Short Film Festival in Italy on the 7th of August. “We are really excited about this screening. The Italians seem to like our work as we’ve had several films screened there,” commented Jackson.
Written and directed by Patrick Jackson, “Daybreak” is a co-production between the Elektrik Zoo and Rickshaw productions. Co-producing with Elektrik Zoo’s Daneeta Loretta Saft were brother and sister team Adam and Tania Shakinovsky and Mike Khan all from Rickshaw Productions. Saft was also responsible for the production design: “Although we shot in May, the film was set at Christmastime, and Patrick wanted to ‘see Christmas in every frame.’ It was quite a challenge as I think my budget was about £100,” said Saft. The film was shot by Charlie Wupperman.
“Daybreak” has also screened at the London Short Film Festival and has been picked up for festival distribution by the British Council of Arts.
