Firstly, the script is definitely coming along. The amount of research, though, is doing my head in. We want to be careful. Even though this is fiction, we want it to be truthful.
I’ve spent days trawling through the St. Bernard forums…looking for stories. Finally, I’ve posted a request for help. Specifically for FEMA stories as there is a decline in the script where the characters have to deal with FEMA hell. We’ll see what comes back.
Also, about to transfer a big chunk of cash to the credit card so that we can buy the tickets to NOLA. When I mention to Patrick that this is the rent money I’m about to transfer, he says “That’s how we roll.”
And, it is.
The universe is testing our commitment to telling the kinds of stories we want to tell, and, there comes a point where you just have to leap.
