FYI, This painting “The Temptation of St. Anthony” is not by Bosch, although he also did a painting with the same title and subject matter. The one that you have posted was painted by Matthias Grunewald sometime around 1515, a decade or so after Bosch painted his. Check it out here…
Agreed, I remember reading about Grunewald in elementary school and this painting, and some of his wood cuttings sparked my interest in the artist.
