Director Statement:

This project blurs the line between fiction and documentary and is in some way a culmination of our 10 year experience shooting both genres. The story is based on real events that we have encountered over the past two years of research. But, this is not Chalmette or even Down the Road. This is an alternative universe…a post apocalyptic limbo. Destiny and her sisters have been trapped by “the storm” in this world of the dead for 5 years. But, Destiny has an escape plan.

Shooting will take place entirely on location and using mostly non-actors. This film is in preparation for a feature to be shot next year in St. Bernard Parish.

Shooting Dates:

July 28th to August 1st (inclusive)

Casting:

Keith (Destiny’s Father): 35-40, Caucasian, preferably dark hair and dark eyes, tattooed arms a plus. This character must have a lot of sadness and character in the face…someone who is a bit rough around the edges.

Gracie (Destiny’s Sister): 4-5, Caucasian, preferably dark hair and dark eyes.

Tyrell (Neighborhood Boy): 12, Mixed Race or African American. Not afraid of turtles.
