Now the light has gotten really interesting. Romantic even. It’s started to rain, so I hold the umbrella over the camera, and Patrick and I huddle under it as well. It’s almost a Cialis moment.
Everything is on a slow shutter speed, so the silence is punctuated by the clicking and whirring of the camera, by Patrick’s slow and steady breathing and by the rain hitting the umbrella. I hold my breath to try to keep this moment in focus.
The moment will go, of course. But I have this picture to remind me of the night we stood on Cassie and Matt’s roof in Noe Valley, San Francisco and everything that came before and everything that came after.
