Dear Tokyo Cowboys Supporters,My apologies for being off the radar for a few weeks. Patrick and I took a gig in Africa, which allowed us to pay off some Tokyo Cowboys debt. Now we are nearly free and clear to make more debt and move forward with the editing process!IN THIS MAIL1) THE LONG, DARK SUMMER2) TOKYO COWBOYS IS TAX DEDUCTIBLE3) ANONYMOUS PATRONS4) G55) SHARES STILL AVAILABLE1) THE LONG, DARK SUMMERWe have searched exhaustively for an editor over the past 6 months. Although we interviewed 10s of highly competent and talented editors, we just could not find the right fit. After much deliberation and advice from the professionals who are guiding us, we have decided to edit the film ourselves. We begin digitizing on Monday. This process will probably take 4 to 6 weeks to complete at which time we will start cutting. I will post the full schedule on the blog (www.tokyocowboys.blogspot.com) in the next week or so. Our goal is to complete the edit by August and start the festival run at that time.I would like to thank all of the editors who showed interest in the project.2) TOKYO COWBOYS IS TAX DEDUCTIBLETokyo Cowboys has teamed up with Projectile Arts of New York. This non-profit arts organization is acting as the fiscal sponsor of Tokyo Cowboys in order to allow us to apply for government grants including the Japan US Friendship Commission grant. We are hoping to use this funding towards the blow up of the finished film. You can see more information about Projectile Arts at www.projectilearts.org.An off-shoot of this partnership is that, through Projectile Arts, you can make a gift to Tokyo Cowboys, which will be tax deductible in the U.S. This is all legal. And, it does not affect investor profit. If you are interested in making a tax deductible gift to Tokyo Cowboys, please email me for more information.3) ANONYMOUS PATRONSPatrick and I were overjoyed to receive two gifts from anonymous patrons this month. One gift arrived in our bank account in the form of cash. The other gift was a 1000 GB hard drive (that’s 1 terabyte!). The cash gift will allow us to pay off more Tokyo Cowboys debt. The harddrive will allow us to digitize an additional 86 hours of footage. A big thanks to our two patrons who wish to remain nameless.4) G5We are looking for a loan or donation of a Power Mac G5 to edit Tokyo Cowboys. This powerful machine will allow us to complete the edit on our own and save us thousands of pounds in post production. The machine goes for £2,700. You can either donate the cash in the form of the tax deductible donation through Projectile Arts. Or, you can buy shares in Tokyo Cowboys. Alternatively, if you know anyone at Apple who might be able to help out by giving us the machine, please let me know.5) SHARES STILL AVAILABLEAt the risk of sounding like a broken record, there are 30 Tokyo Cowboys shares left. One share is £500. I promise that investing in Tokyo Cowboys will be a rewarding experience. Your investment would come at a crucial stage in the project. It is only through your generous support that we can finish the film by the end of this summer.I thank you all for continuing this journey with us.Hugs,DaneetaVisit us online at www.tokyocowboys.com.
