Yes, it’s true that I haven’t written here since August. It’s also true that I have done precious little writing on the feature. I pick up the index cards every now and again, but my time has been occupied with the short and with making a bit of cash. But, that’s another story.
We want to use the short to generate interest in the feature. The thing is, everything changed with shooting the short. When I go back and read the feature, it seems like something alien. Through shooting the short, we got closer to our Destiny character, but is it the same Destiny? Things are all confused in my mind about Destiny. Turn her one way, and she is my niece Dominique. Turn her the other, and she is a fictional girl living in a real world.
I’m focusing on structure now…trying to impose order on what we have. We’ll see how it goes.
