I’ve been reading a lot about ‘topias to see what I can mine for Chalmatia! We’ve talked about the script in terms of post-apocalyptic themes. Trying to come at things from a different direction. Also, trying to do research instead of just shooting from the hip.
It’s been years since I started writing this script. I’m slow. I should embrace that. Beating me to finish something is like beating a dead horse. Or, worse, a stubborn horse. Sometimes I even get frustrated with myself.
I remember reading an interview with Richard Linklater back in 2005. He said that he had about 10 projects at various stages going at once. If one hits, he follows it down the rabbit hole.
