Finally!
I’ve started writing “Chalmatia!” again.
Producing “Destiny lives Down the Road” was a major distraction, but writing the script and directing our real-life Destiny was a great insight into the character and the world she lives in.
After finishing principal photography, I was looking for a way to kick start Chalmatia! I found this:
Writing A Screenplay With A Full Deck: It only takes a deck of index cards and a ballpoint pen to start your screenplay, by Joe Mefford | Published January 15, 2007, Moviemaker Magazine.
Normally, I hate these things. But, as I said, I needed a kick start, so I committed to this. It’s been three days, and I’m still working on the first 10 cards. It has been a very freeing experience, and I am reminded of that Orson Welles quote: “The lack of limitation is the enemy of art.”
Also, I’m enjoying the process. I remind myself to enjoy the process. Actually, it’s the re-writing I really enjoy. So, here we go again.
